SHIP (1861 onwards) 14 Anerley Vale

Resident on the 1861 Census and for almost 60 years, one of the longest residing residents of Anerley Vale was Hannah (Bn 1834 D1917 aged 80) and Robert Ship (Bn 1833 D1908 aged 77). They married in 1853 and were resident in Anerley Vale by 1861. Robert (aged 30), was a Carpenter’s Labourer, and Hannah (aged 28), a Dressmaker. They are still resident in 1871, and it shows them at No 14 in 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 (4 Rooms) (Hannah).

They are buried together at Elmers End Cemetery.
