RANDALL – 34, 44 & 47 Anerley Vale
Daniel (Bn 1843 D1910) and Elizabeth Randall (Bn 1844). He was a Shoemaker, and so was his father, Henry. Elizabeth’s father George, was also a Shoemaker (from Peckham). They married on Christmas Day 1866 and both signed with an ‘x’. They lived in Anerley Vale between 1881 and 1901.
Son, Henry Bert (Bn 8 July 1882 D1967) enlisted when he was aged 19 and 3 months in 1902 (his father then living at 47 Anerley Vale), when his occupation had been a Greengrocer, requesting to join the Royal Regiment of Royal Horse Artillery (RHA 28008) (Driver). He also later joined the Expeditionary Force and served in South Africa during WW1 and survived. 5’4” Brown Hair and Brown Eyes. He married Laura Gray in 1911.
