EYSACKERS – 6 Anerley Vale

On the 1911 Census at 6 Anerley Vale, are the Eysackers family.

The father Petrus Edward, aged 40 (Bn 1871 Borgerhout, Belgium D1952 aged 81 ) and his wife Petronella (Bn 1873 Made, Holland D1964). They had two sons, George (aged 11) and (Edward) Caesar (aged 6), daughter Phillis (aged 2) and Petrus Edward’s mother, Philomine (aged 65).

They later moved to Islington (by 1939). Their son Edward Caesar Eysackers (Bn 13 November 1904) was an ARP Stretcher Bearer during WW2, but was believed to have been killed, aged 35, whilst attending a footway outside 280-281 High Holborn, WC1 on 9 September 1940. Sadly, his body was not found until 15 September 1940. His occupation before the war, was a Plasterer (Heavy Work).
