BRYANT – 24 Anerley Vale

On the 1921 Census, Charles Frederick Bryant (Bn 1871 D1958 ), and his wife Bessie née McGregor (Bn 1884) (M1902), resided at No 24 Anerley Vale, until at least 1958. His occupation was a Park Keeper for London County Council, at Hilly Park, Lewisham. He was an Army Pensioner. In 1891,whilst living in Lewisham, aged 19, 5’8”, brown hair, grey eyes, enlisted for the Rifle Brigade. He served in South Africa, Crete, Egypt, Malta, Singapore, and East India, following the Nile Expedition of 1898 and the Occupation of Crete Campaign. His character on discharge was ‘Very Good’.
