BIXLEY – 36, 37 & 38 Anerley Vale

Edward Bixley (Bn 1843 Bookham, Surrey) married Sarah Ann née Wheadon (Bn 1850 Hastings D1926 37 Anerley Vale) in 1875. They were living at 38 Anerley Vale by 1881. Sadly, Sarah Ann died at No 37 in 1926, aged 76, having lived in Anerley Vale for over 45 years.

Edward Bixley, a Labourer, earning 6½ d per day, or 30 shillings a week, who, in 1883, was injured whilst working beneath scaffolding in Anerley Road. Equipment fell on him, almost knocking him unconscious.
